Three real renders, none set up by hand. The facecam is found and given its own band over the gameplay. A no-commentary play is found from the action. Two speakers are stacked so you always see who is talking.

Keeps your facecam on top, gameplay below. The webcam is found for you.Zoupyu detects the webcam rectangle — border scan first, then corner probes — and stacks it over the action instead of cropping to one or the other.
Every row is verified — no marketing fluff, just what each tool actually does.

CapCut is a great free editor, and its AI clip maker can cut highlights from a file you upload. Clipping someone else’s stream is a different job: the video is a link, it is hours long, and the best play may have nobody talking over it. Zoupyu takes the YouTube or Twitch link directly, finds the moments from the action as well as the speech, shows them on one timeline so you keep and trim the ones you want, and makes only those. Packs are one-time, from $9.
When you clip for a campaign, the footage is someone else’s: a streamer’s Twitch VOD, a creator’s YouTube upload. CapCut’s clip maker starts from a file, so the first job is finding a way to download hours of video and upload it again.
Zoupyu starts from the link. Paste a YouTube, Twitch VOD or Google Drive URL and it fetches the video itself, with no channel to connect. For a long stream you pick the stretch worth clipping, up to three hours a run, and only that stretch is processed.
You are responsible for having the right to clip and post what you process. Fair use and each platform’s terms still apply.
CapCut’s AI Highlights cuts clips from speech patterns, and then you preview them and open the editor to fix what’s off. That works well when you have one video and time to polish it.
Zoupyu is built for the clipper with a stack of VODs. It lays every moment it found on one timeline over the source, with YouTube’s most-replayed parts marked. You keep or drop each one, drag its edges (they snap to whole sentences), fix any caption word, pick a layout, and only then does it render, only what you kept. It is the review pass, done before the work instead of after.
A gaming stream is not a podcast. The best moment is often a play with game audio and no commentary, and the streamer’s webcam sits in a corner of the frame. CapCut’s clip maker is pitched at podcasts, lessons and speeches, and a facecam layout is something you build yourself in the editor.
Zoupyu finds the webcam and gives it its own band across the top of the vertical frame, with the gameplay below. When nobody is talking, it finds moments from scene changes, audio spikes and a vision pass over the frames, so a clean play still becomes a clip. You do it once per video, not once per clip.
Three things worth knowing about how Zoupyu works.
After transcription Zoupyu parks the project and lays every moment on a timeline over the source, plus a few it ranked lower. Keep, drop and trim them, fix caption words, choose a layout and caption style, then render only the ones you kept.
Auto-detect, Facecam, Podcast and Talking head. When Zoupyu sees a streamer cam it recommends Facecam, and you decide. The cam band can be set from 30 to 50% of the frame; two live cams split it.
For when you want the whole video back with subtitles, not clips: Live Captions burns word-level captions onto the full video at its native resolution, up to 1080p. One credit, for anything up to two hours.
Shortlisting other clippers too? Here's the quick read.
OpusClip meters every minute you upload, from $15/month. Zoupyu bills the stretch you pick with one-time packs. See our OpusClip comparison.
Vizard spends a credit per minute uploaded, $29/month for Creator. Zoupyu clips an hour of the part you pick per credit, and takes Twitch VODs.
Klap charges per clip on a monthly plan from $29 and leans on speech. Zoupyu lets you pick the clips first and finds no-commentary plays.
CapCut is free, and it is a complete video editor: effects, templates, keyframes, overlays, music. Zoupyu is not trying to be that; our clip editor is for final changes, not for building a video from scratch. If you clip one video at a time and want every frame exactly your way, CapCut is the better tool and costs nothing.
Its AI clip maker is a real feature too, with subject tracking and editable auto captions.
Pick Zoupyu when the job is volume from long streams you don’t own: paste the link, choose from the moments it found, get a batch of captioned vertical clips back. The two also work together: Zoupyu to find and cut, CapCut to polish the one clip that deserves it.
For clipping long streams and videos you don’t own, usually yes: Zoupyu takes the YouTube or Twitch link, finds the moments (including plays with no commentary), and lets you choose them before anything renders. For editing one video by hand, CapCut is the better and free tool.
Yes. CapCut’s AI Clip Maker, “AI Highlights”, cuts clips from a video you upload based on speech patterns, and you can preview and edit them in CapCut. Its page lists uploads from your device, Cloud, Google Drive or Dropbox.
On Zoupyu, yes. Paste a YouTube, Twitch VOD or Google Drive link and it fetches the video, no download needed. Still-live streams are refused until they end. You are responsible for having the right to use and post the footage.
You get 3 credits on signup with no card; each free credit clips up to 10 minutes. You can preview every clip, and HD downloads need a $2.99 single-video unlock or any pack. Paid packs start at $9, one-time, and never expire. CapCut’s editor is free.
Yes. Zoupyu exports standard 9:16 MP4 files, so you can open any of them in CapCut or any other editor for extra polish.
English, with word-level timing, burned into the clip. If your content is in another language, run one of your free credits through it first and check the output.
Paste a YouTube, Twitch VOD or Google Drive link, or upload a file, pick your moments, and see what comes back with captions burned in.
