Three real renders. A play with no commentary over it, found from the action alone. A facecam with its own band over the gameplay. And two speakers, stacked so you always see who is talking.

No mic? Still gets great clips. Highlights found from the action. No commentary track? Zoupyu falls back to audio energy, scene cuts and Claude vision to find the highlights — pure gameplay, no talking needed.
Every row is verified — no marketing fluff, just what each tool actually does.

Klap sells a monthly allowance of clips; the lower prices are for paying a year up front. Zoupyu sells credits once, they never expire, and one credit clips an hour of whichever stretch you choose.
Pay once. Credits never expire.
One-time payments. Credits stack on purchase and never expire. Refund on failed jobs.
Recurring monthly subscription.
Monthly clip allowance. Klap’s own FAQ lists one free video to try it.
Klap is quick: drop in a YouTube link and it hands back a stack of finished clips, billed per clip on a monthly plan. Zoupyu works the other way round. It shows you every moment it found on one timeline over the source, you keep, trim and fix the ones you want, and only those get made. It takes Twitch VOD and Google Drive links as well as YouTube, finds the plays nobody talked over, and the packs are one-time, from $9.
Klap’s pitch is one click: paste a link, get a batch of clips scored for virality, edit the ones you like. That is fast, and for a talking-head video it often works. What it skips is the part a good clipper is paid for, which is deciding.
Zoupyu puts that decision first. It finds the moments and stops, showing them on one timeline over the source (on YouTube, with the most-replayed parts marked). You play each one, keep or drop it, drag its edges to the sentence you want, and fix any caption word before it is burned in. Then it makes the clips you kept.
Klap can take a plain-language request for a specific moment, which we can’t. But the clips it returns are still its picks; here, they are yours.
Klap says it plainly: it works best on speech, because its algorithm relies heavily on speech detection. Podcasts, interviews and lessons are its home ground.
Streams aren’t always like that. The best moment of a gaming session is often a play with no commentary at all, or one buried under game audio. Zoupyu reads the action as well as the words: scene changes, spikes in audio energy, and a vision pass over the frames. So a clean play with no mic over it can still become a clip. Those come back without captions, because there is nothing said to caption.
For a facecam stream, Zoupyu spots the webcam and gives it its own band across the top of the vertical frame, with the gameplay below. Klap has a gaming layout too, so that part is a tie.
Klap takes a YouTube link or a file. If you clip Twitch streams, that means downloading the VOD and uploading it again. Zoupyu takes the Twitch VOD link directly, and a Google Drive share link the same way, so footage a client sends you never has to touch your disk.
And you pay once. Klap’s plans are a monthly allowance, $29 a month for 100 clips, with the lower prices only for paying a year up front. Zoupyu’s packs start at $9, the credits never expire, and there is nothing to cancel in a slow month.
You are responsible for having the right to clip and post what you process. Fair use and each platform’s terms still apply.
Three things worth knowing about how Zoupyu works.
After transcription Zoupyu parks the project and lays every moment it found on a timeline over the source, plus a few it ranked lower. Keep, drop and trim them, fix caption words, choose a layout and a caption style, then render only the ones you kept.
When there is no commentary to transcribe, speech-led detection has nothing to work with. Zoupyu falls back to on-screen action and audio energy, scene cuts, volume spikes and a vision pass over candidate frames, so a play with no mic over it still becomes a clip.
For when you want the whole video back, not clips: Live Captions burns word-level subtitles onto the full video at its native resolution, up to 1080p. One credit, for anything up to two hours.
Shortlisting other clippers too? Here's the quick read.
OpusClip meters every minute you upload, from $15/month. Zoupyu bills the stretch you pick, bought once. See our OpusClip comparison.
Vizard spends a credit per minute uploaded, $29/month for Creator. Zoupyu clips an hour of the part you pick per credit, and takes Twitch VODs.
CapCut is a free editor with an AI clip maker, built around files you upload. Zoupyu takes the link and lets you pick moments before render.
Klap’s meter counts clips, not minutes, so a three-hour source costs it no more than a ten-minute one; that is a fair way to price long video, and on that point we don’t claim to beat it. You can ask Klap for a specific kind of moment in plain language, which Zoupyu can’t do yet. It has more layouts, including split screen and screencast, and it publishes and schedules to TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIn.
If you clip talking-head content, want to post straight from the tool, and are happy on a monthly plan, Klap is a good pick.
Zoupyu is for the other case: you want the final say on every clip before it is made, you clip Twitch streams or gameplay where the best plays aren’t spoken, or you’d rather buy credits once than subscribe.
The order. Klap makes its clips first and you edit them after. Zoupyu shows you every moment it found on a timeline, you keep, trim and fix the ones you want, and only those are made. Zoupyu also takes Twitch VOD and Google Drive links, and sells one-time packs instead of a monthly plan.
It depends on how you clip. Klap charges per clip ($29 a month for 100), so long sources cost it nothing extra. Zoupyu charges per hour of the stretch you pick, with packs from $9 that never expire. If you clip in bursts or don’t want a subscription, Zoupyu usually costs less; if you make hundreds of clips every month from short videos, compare both.
Yes. Paste the Twitch VOD link and Zoupyu fetches it, no channel connection needed. YouTube and Google Drive links work the same way. Still-live streams are refused until they end. You are responsible for having the right to use and post the footage.
Yes. When there is no speech, Zoupyu finds moments from on-screen action and audio energy instead. Those clips come back without captions, because there is nothing said to caption.
Not yet. Zoupyu has no prompt box. Instead you see every moment it found, plus a few it ranked lower, and choose. If typing a request is how you like to work, Klap does that today.
No. Packs are one-time purchases, credits stack, and they never expire.
English, with word-level timing, burned into the clip. If your content is in another language, run one of your free credits through it first and check the output.
Paste a YouTube, Twitch VOD or Google Drive link, or upload a file, pick your moments, and see what comes back with captions burned in.
